Should I just go out and buy ramps? If > I do that will the oil drain properly? I've always wondered about that. For engine and auto transmission oil changes on my NG900 I use home made wooden ramps, I find that just 4 inches of ramp under the front wheels gives me enough under car space working from the front. Make sure you use a good quality spanner of the right size. If the plug is damaged buy a new one, use a new washer and don't overtighten. A tap with a hammer on a perfectly fitting spanner usually does it, press the spanner on at the same time as you hit it.
