Subject: 900 heater control lights

Going down the list of things to fix on the newly acquired '88 900s, it seems a couple of the bulbs that illuminate the heater controls and such are burned out. How do you get to the bulbs to change them? I replaced the bulb in the hazard light switch today and that was no easy task, I had to pull the switch apart, couldn't get the button off so I went in from the back and pried the gap large enough to squeeze the bulb out and jam a new one down in there then soldered the wires together, obviously these were not made to have bulbs replaced. I also replaced bulbs in the power window switches with green LED's, just had to cram the appropriate resistor in the small space available within the switch and remove the green plastic filters.
