In article <2gu9mjF6tap2U1nospamberlin.de>, grunffnospam.com says... > Cut the wires as close to the apc body as you can, leaving only 10mm or > so to work with. Solder on replacement silicone insulated wires. > Insulate your soldered join with heatshrink sleeve. Seal the wire exit > area with your choice of goo - covering the heatshrink sleeve. I like to > use PU for the last step - never let me down. > You mean the 2 pin grey connector that comes out of the solenoid? The harness had lost most of it's original insulation, almost all the way to the two pin plug., and as far down almost, to the where it joins the bundle near the 3 pin connector below the drivers side headlight. This the APC Solenoid I'm talking about on top of the radiator with the 2 pin plug, not the APC itself, which is nice and cool under the backseat. -- The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
