The fuel gauge sensor unit is easily replaced through the trunk/hatch area floor. I believe the rocker switch by the shifter is for the the overhead light.>> Yes, it's an interior light switch (until it decides not to work anymore - occasionally due to a slipped cable or dirt inside, but sometimes seems to be just old age!) Clean all the terminals and connectors on top of the sender unit before you remove it. Sometimes it's all that's needed. If you're keeping it, *do* get a manual asap and perform regular changes with a reputable oil. Enjoy it. Cheers You should be aware this car has the parking brake on the FRONT wheels. It is really hard to do hand brake turns with this car. If your car is a US model, it uses the standard head lights - inexpensive to replace and Cibie has replacement H4 lights. Just curious, where did you buy this car?
