Subject: Re: c900 rear shock bolts

So, I replaced the rear springs/shocks this weekend. The project was a success, though it was a tough job. Dave, thanks for urging me to get some Kroil- I used it liberally, and it was very effective. Particularly tricky bits for me: - lower shock bolt fused to the metal liner of the lower shock bushing - getting rear spring links re-aligned with the axle for reassembly (anti-roll bar made this especially tricky) It took me pretty much the whole weekend, but was well worth it- the ride is much improved, and no more bottoming out whenever I hit a large bump! Outstanding issues: - RH bump stop is mostly rusted off - ABS light came on after a bit of driving. I figure I probably reinstalled one of the wheel speed sensors either too shallow or too deep. Thanks to everyone who offered advice in this thread. John
