Responding to a scam like this takes some effort, the person must have a bank account and some degree of organisation to his life. Then it's obvious that such posts are not personal in any way, and everybody knows about them. Hence, not likely that any such a person would respond to it. In contrast, it's quite believable that the dim scammers are taken in by the idea, and possibly have invested in some kind of bulk mailing service for e.g. a small fee, similar to people playing the lottery.
