Well the brake pads could wear out this fast, just depends on usage ;) I used up all four brake pads, when I attended a 3 day racing school. It was one of those driving schools that allows you to use your own car, very fun but rough on your car.

The rotors needing to be replaced is the only thing that caught my eye. This is way too early for the rotors to be used up. If they said all four brakes need to be replaced, then either there was a catastrophic failure in the brake system and you should contact the dealer for warranty repairs or your repair guys are not telling you the truth.

There have been some problems with the front brakes warping, and if this is the problem the dealer should replace the rotors under warranty. The 92-x disks are more expensive, because they are a lot larger than the Subaru, but yes they are expensive.
