ORANGE, CONNECTICUT -- With the emphasis on engineering refinements, the 1976 Saab 99 GL offers new body trim, an improved exhaust manifold, a clutch system that needs no adjustments and a Swedish-built 2-liter engine, which does not require a catalytic converter or thermal reactor and which runs on regular leaded or unleaded fuel.
The Saab 99 GL for 1976 is also equipped with a new rear braking system and stronger springs and will be offered in two new colors -- Topaz Yellow and Spring Green -- plus four others -- Coral White, Sienna Brown, Solar Red and Carolina Blue.
