Steve Moline (smolinenopsamnet) said something like: : Feel free to respond with comments/advise. Should I buy a Saab now? : Should I accept the damaged car? I guess I'm confused. Glass is replaceable. Assuming a competent installation, there is no difference in integrity, safety, performance... anything, after a windshield is replaced. Are you suggesting that Saab USA scrap a $35,000 car because it had its $300 windshield replaced? Had they dented the fender and then bondoed it, yes, there would be grounds for concern. I would buy such a car, but only after taking a substantial discount to cover the applicable loss of resale value down the road. But a windshield? I've had several replaced, and only one leaked, and that was from a lowest-bidder disreputable shop 15 years ago. -- > B E N T L E Y < bentleynopsamss.digex.net
