It has over 194,400 miles on it and is burning oil badly. That is the major problem, but there are of course some minor annoyances as well. I've had this car for over 10 years and LOVE it and will miss it. I found a 94 900S, with 41,000 miles on it. I asked my mechanic, and he said to stay away from the 94's because they had major problems. Anyone here have a 94 or know if this is true? The 94s did have growing pains, most of which were corrected by recalls and service bulletins. The V-6 engine was/is a cause of concern, too, because of the timing belt and maintenance difficulties. My '94 900SE V-6 has about 35,000 miles on it. I had all the work done on it, and it is now a VERY nice car. If you are considering a '94, check the VIN with a Saab dealer to find out if it has had all the service bulletins and recalls done. Make sure it isn't a resold "lemon." Drive it hard on the test drive. Take it to a mechanic who will inspect the individual car, not the general reputation of the model year. If it passes all those, buy it! -- John Weiss Seattle, WA
