I am considering purchasing a 1991 900 S, It has 4 doors and it is 5 speed. It has aroudn 87,000 miles on it. I was wondering whether anyone could offer any advice, ideas, etc. I have heard that Volvos (the other type of car I was considering) are much cheaper to repair due to the fact that the transmission has no bottom cover (?) and that it uses the top of the engine as its bottom. Supposedly this means that whenever something goes wrong with the transmission, the entire engine must be taken out. Is this true? Has anyone had experiences with this particular model from 1991? ANY and all feedback is definitely welcome. Also, what do you think is a fair price for it (the body is in perfect condition, it is leather, with a sunroof, etc.) You may also email me privately. Thanks in advance, Sarah Moskowitz
