I think the prices being referred to here are for the '98 900S Turbo, not the 900SE Turbo. Saab made the turbo option available on 900S for first time in '98. If you go for the SE, I think you also get leather interior, automatic climate control, moonroof, enhanced audio system, maybe other things. I just bought a '98 900SE turbo. I've had it about 4 weeks and I love it. I also considered the A4 2.8. You have to be careful about comparing A4 prices. I found that if I equipped it comparably to the Saab, I was paying a lot more for the A4. I also think the A4 is in higher demand and it may be tougher to drive a hard bargain on it. I did not test drive the A4 1.8T. When comparing the A4 2.8 and the 900SE, I found that the A4 accelerated more smoothly but without the exhiliration of the Saab. I went with the Saab for that reason and also for the practicality of that honkin' big rear end for hauling the occasional Home Depot purchase. DC in the Bluegrass
