I can't speak to the studs but I think the tire size might not be ideal. Snows should be narrower and taller than your regular tires, from what I've learned in the past two years of Saab ownership. Yours are wider and shorter and may tend to float on the snow. My regular tire sizes are 195-60-15 and my snows are 185-65-15. I'm no expert when it comes to anything about Saabs but you might want to reconsider. On the other hand if you don't get much snow or it's infrequent then the wider tires might not be a problem. In any event they will be better than the summer tires! Good luck and congratulations. Duane
