[ I have never used volvo, so cannot tell ] Maybe you should take care of it better. My 1990 convertible turbo has had very little unscheduled maintenance in the past 30,000 miles (50 to 80K miles).. 'bout $400., half of which was brakes. Not bad if you ask me. One set of CV's on a Subaru will cost you that when they go at 80000. And I know which is more fun to drive. -klaus
