I just bought a 1988 Saab 900s with AT. The weather turned colder since buying the car a couple of weeks ago. The transmission sometimes doesn't engage until the car warms up for 10 to 20 min. Once working it seems fine. The person I bought it from said it is just normal for this to happen. I wasn't born yesterday so I don't believe this. My questions for the group are: Is this normal? How costly are replacement transmissions? Is this a sign of things to come with this model car? Appreciate your responses. Bob
