>>Is Saab Reliable???....Ever hear of the 400+ mile club!!! I think this is a good response to the question, but with some caveats. 1) Saab is not Honda. You cannot just drive these cars for 200k without servicing them. Saabs need regular reliable service. They do break down. This is why Consumer Reports doesn't like them (not to mention the fact that rag of a magazine loves everything with Honda on the bonnet). 1a) Saabs will last FOREVER if properly maintained (and preferably not built in 88 or 89 (sorry NICK going with averages here)). 2) If you want reliable transportation. Buy a Honda. I have talked a few people out of Saabs because they really just want a "car to get them back and forth". 3) If you want fun, safe and steady driving excitement (sorry BMW) then buy a Saab. There is NO car on the market that combines all these elements as well as the Saab. Think before you drink, think before you buy. (YMMV) -Gabe
