I could waste the whole battery with the starter without any results but wet plugs. It wasn't even possible to jumpstart it - but to my surprise the engine came to life within 10 meters when another car hooked me with a rope and pulled. The chief mechanic of the SAAB garage in Frankfurt told me that the reason was a blown head gasket so the engine sucks water into the cylinders when cooling down. He offered me an "affordable" repair for just 2.000 Marks (~ 1.200 US$). Though I objected that after finally starting the engine worked on all 4 cylinders he was absolutely sure about this rubbish. Let's make this some kind of trivia. I got the REAL fault fixed now. What was it? (Hint: I considered it very, very exotic) JK'97
