Subject: Instrument illumination problem



I have a 1993 9000CSE. The digital display at the bottom of the
instrument panel that shows temperature etc seems to intermittently get
dimmer on the left hand side of the display. It can be OK for a week or
so, but then for example, I apply the brakes or switch on the rear wiper
the left half of the display instantly dims and gradually gets brighter
again over a period of hours. Can anybody help me with this bizarre
problem?
