I think there may be a big difference between the pre-GM Saabs and the Saabrolets -- check the Consumer Reports incidence of repair statistics (the April issue every year). The current 900s have a much worse than average record of electrical and hardware problems, according to CR, and the cooling system isn't much better. The basic drive train -- engine, tranny -- seems to be pretty good. Remember, the CR repair information is statistical, not an opinion. Bill '85 900
