Subject: Help!

I'm looking at trading my saab in and think that I'm getting a big line from the dealer about the value of my car. I have to admit that I don't really know what I'm doing, but the trade-in value offered seems out of whack with all of the blue book type numbers I've seen. My car is a 1994 convertible turbo (Commemorative Edition) with everything; it's got 43,000 miles and is in very good condition. The dealer has offered me $15,000 as the trade in value, and every "blue book" type resource I look at (3 different) puts the trade-in value at about $21,000+. The dealer says I cannot rely on any of those blue book amounts. Am I hallucinating? I would be very grateful for any insight any of you may have. I just hate feeling as though I'm being ripped off, but I know absolutely nothing about cars and I don't know who to believe. Help! Sue Elliott
