Consider yourself lucky. These are minor repairs. As long as your Saab isn't making ominous large ($) noises, you would be money ahead to fix it. Since the vast majority of your driving is on highway, your 900S should last another 100K easily. The outer CV boot is critical; hopefully, it hasn't gone unfixed for long as that can lead to a required CV (with boot) replacement ($$$). I doubt you can replace the car with a new one for as much; you aren't even 1/4 way to the million mile club. Have your Saab thoroughly checked by a competent INDEPENDENT mechanic - the dealer (trustworthy as a fox in a chicken coop) will try to sell you a new car! Give your Saab the TLC it deserves - it will reward you with many more miles of good service!
