The problem is either (most likely) the thermostat or the temperature transmitter, which is located in the thermostat housing. Buy a new gasket for the thermostat. Unbolt the cover of the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat and check at which temperature it switches open by heating it in water on a stove. The temperature should be 88 deg. Celcius (190 deg. Fahrenheit). The operation of the thermostat is not instantanious - sufficient time must be allowed. For use in the winter only, you could have thermostat which opens at 92 deg. C. When reasembled remember to bleed the system and refill with sufficient coolant. PS: Thermostats are not expensive. Niels (Denmark).
