Subject: SAAB 9-5 and LPG

Hello I am French, and a faithful SAAB owner since 1989. I had three 9000: a Turbo 16 ( 2 liter engine ), then a 2.3 Turbo S, and a 2.3 T 170 hp. All good cars, reliable, comfortable, and nice to drive. I bought two weeks ago a brand new 9- 5 2.3 T SE, including the LPG option. My dealer said the LPG option is not available in France so far, and said it is due to homologating process. My questions: - do other country have already homologated the LPG equipment for the 9-5 ? - I understand the LPG equipment is the one from dutch firm Koltec. Could you provide me with some technical information regarding this equipment - what is the level of performance loss which can be expected fueling the 9-5 2.3 T with LPG. I sent this message directly to Saab ( saabnopsam.com ), but did'nt get any answer so far. Maybe I am luckier with this Group !! Thanks for your answer. Sincerely -- BFN Herv=E9 herve.nicollenopsamdoo.fr
