Subject: Re: Dealer installed sun-roof and leather seats on 98??

Due to the heavy taxation on cars in Norway, I believe some "luxury items" (a goverment definition, which also used to include ABS brakes and air bags) like sun roofs are added by the norwegian importing agents, thus keeping the price tag under certain limits at the time of import. I believe the sunroof of my previous car, 1995 SAAB 900S, was retrofitted by my dealer for this reason. >>>>Norwegian readers: can you confirm this policy??? (my current car, 1996 SAAB CAB 900S, has the factory supplied roof solution, of course......... For the tax I have paid for s.k. "luxury items" on this car, well...... I don't like to think too much about it!) I had no problems with the 1995 sunroof (factory fitted or not.....) Wheather this is a good idea generally, I don't know.............. regards, Einar <eNOspaMhougennopsamne.no> Daniel Meltzer <dmeltzer_nospamnopsamaone.net> skrev i artikkelen <34F9FBC7.E4B57D51nopsamaone.net>... > I visited a Saab dealer in search of the elusive 98 900S Coupe with > sunroof and leather.
