In what regard? If low maintenancecosts are your highest criteria, then I'd look elsewhere. At $1495, the car probably has a bazillion miles and probably has "deferred" maintenance. If you have limited funds, you should either get a Japanese clone or wait until you have at least $3K to get a well maintained older SAAB, preferably from a private party with records. Typically, corner lots get their cars at auction for wholesale, so if he's making a profit at that price, he must have paid under a grand for it. All it takes is one transmission rebuild, for which SAABs are famous, and you'll spend twice your purchase price on repairs. By the way, is this a stick or an automatic? If it's an automatic, I'd run as fast as possible. I hate to be the purveyor of doom and gloom, but I've been through the mill with dozens of cars. You may have your heart set on this, but my note may be a blessing in disguise. Regards, Mike Z.
