I had the same problem locating the 2 bolts. The HAYNES book doesn't make it
clear but these 2 bolts can be only reached from the engine compartment and
not from inside the car. In my HAYNES  book it is shown in picture 31.12B on
page 245. These bolts go from the engine side through the firewall and into
the lower facia.
The driver side bolt is below the fuse box in the engine compartment and the
other one is below the fresh air intake  on passenger side.
