I agree with you on that point. The Volvo s-70 has a manual control on the dash next to the vent that allows the driver to have cold outside air directed toward the face while leaving the heat on for the lower vents. It works well. But, the Volvo is always fogging up in damp weather. The Saab is much better at keeping the windows dry. Do you know what "ECON" does? Will it allow cold air in the car without AC? I am interested if anybody knows this. Thanks! -Doug G
