Some will argue for and some for just changing it regular. Been both places. When I went for std fluid, replace it regular --- just hardly ever got around to doing it and after a few years, had to do a lot of work to redo the brake system. When I did the sillycone, it was done once and forgetton almost forever and brake solid till long after car passed on to new owner. Suggestion - do the silicone and get on with life - if have time on Saturday to bleeeed darn brakes, probably more fun to watch a ballgame, chase babes, swap an engine, whatever. Kinda in the catagory of continuing to power wax a faded car when it really needs a paint job -- better to just get on with it.
