Maybe your Saab loves Valvoline 20W50, but the three I have owned love Castrol 10W30 or 10W40, especially if it's a turbo. The 10W30 and 10W40 is much better for keeping the turbo bearings lubed. My 83 900T lasted 197,234 before a fatal dose of Slick 50. My 87 900S ran nice and smooth with the Castrol 10W30 and my current 87 9000S runs like silk, over 31 mpg on a recent 525 mile trip. I have not seen a Saab owner's manual yet that recommended 20W50. It's your party. Ken W. 87 9000S 149,000 and going strong
