I hope it is only something simple like a fuel mass electronics problem, but my friends '82 had these symptoms and it turned out to be spider-web cracks (stress fractures) in the head from too much boost over a long period - very hard to diagnose because they only open under intense pressure and do not display the normal cracked head symptoms. Her mechanic just "knew" it when the acceleration went to mush as the turbo kicked in - confirmed only when he pulled the head off. wrote in message <>... >Need help with a rough idel that just developed in my 85 900 Turbo. >The car idles very rough and stumbles badlt on acceleration and under >full boost. I just added some of that STP fuel cleaner to a 1/4 tank >of gas, Have I destroyed something, are the plugs fouled, What?! >Any Ideas are apperciated.
