Ken, I owns an 87 9000S too. I bought mine this past December with 145,890. The only electrical problem I have with mine is mentioned in the TSBs at www.nospam. My pictograph comes on when I press the brake pedal and when I use the left turn signal. The pictograph does not come on when I press the brake pedal, while the headlights are on. Mine is 5 spd. The only other problem I know of were on the automatics and related to the backup light switch. Otherwise mine runs fine. I now have over 150,500 on mine. Ken Washington 87 9000S
