My '89 900 turbo automatic has taken to getting noticeably louder at about 3400 revs. Normally there's the usual humming, but when the tach hits 3400+ the hum goes from "mmmmmm" to "MMMMMMMMMM" and the accelerator pedal vibrates with the MMMM sound under my foot. Is this just age, or is it a potential transmission problem announcing itself?
