Subject: Help! My 86 900 Turbo is Ticking!!!!

Hi Folks this is my first visit and I'm already desperate!!! I own a 1986 900 Turbo which has been an outstanding performer until recently. Now the Turbo only seems to kick in, to about half way up the gague, and there is a distinct ticking sound coming from a small round object at the front of the engine which appears to have three pipes connected to it along with an electrical connection. This is ticking all the time until the brake pedal is depressed. This stops the ticking but as soon as the pedal is released its back. My wonderful Turbo is now distinctly miserable and I am being taken out by Ford Mondeos and even Volvos', My garage has reported that they have no idea what the problem might be and as usual are suggesting we replace everything from the drivers seat to the towing hook in an attempt to clear it. Please help, money is still tight around these parts Thanks Tim tim.webbnopsamone.net
