I have a similiar problem with my '85 900s. Apparently there's a $70+ (USD) temperature valve (or something like that) that's gone bad. I only notice the problem when it's a little cooler than room temperature and the car has been sitting overnight. (forgive me, i don't know farenheit to celcius conversions - around 65 degrees F.)
