All Saab head units after '86 were made by Clarion, and feature a DIN (round) connector which is compatible with the proprietary EQ also sold by Saab. Also, some dealers installed other stereos for customers; my '85 had a Blaupunkt, and my '88 had a non-Saab Clarion unit. Let me know what kind of stereo she *had*, and I can definitely tell you where to go from there... -Justin
