The DIN connector is for hooking up the equalizer or CD player. The one on my car has 12 pins. There is also a Molex type power connector for the EQ. There should be another circuit connector on the back of the radio that plugs into a mating one on the mounting frame when you slide it in (if the frame is still there). There are several different radios that were used in 900's. A base radio with very simple controls was offered in the lower lines, and an upscale one in the turbos (possibly also in the S). There were some model year changes too. Both the low line and high line radios should work in the frame, but you have to have the right ones for the model year. a-aulicknopsam.edu wrote in article <6it7tb$s0b$1nopsam1.dejanews.com>... > A friend of mine (hi, Steph) had the radio stolen out of her '89 > Saab 900.
