Anyone aware of some chronic problem like this? Are there > runaway hardpoints somewhere in the windowtrack? This happened to me ONCE. I had just done a lubrication of the power window motor and all the pivot points as well as reconnecting one of the bolts that holds the window and its connection in the groove. I tightened the bolt and put the whole thing back together and went inside to have dinner. I came out a few hours later to a very clean looking window. In reality it wasn't there. Shattered. Turns out the two fixtures connected to the window don't actually bolt to the window, that is to say the bolts don't squeeze the glass. There are little bushings that prevent stress being placed on the glass, which appaantly fell out. A new window should have the bushingsd. This might not be your problem, but I had to tell the story.
