Subject: temperature sensor noise at SAAB 9000 CD, '92

Hi All: I have a little big problem with the temperature sensor (on the dash-board) for a SAAB 9000 CD Turbo, 1992: it starts making a very high pitched noise, starting randomly, and until I shut the engine off. It's like a local resonator, you can fill and alter the noise if you touch the part. Does it have a small ventilator inside to force air flow? Does anybody have any idea how to fix this, or had this problem. Weird, but the sensor it's much more prone to start making the noise when it's raining ... Thank you.
