I have always wanted a Saab since I 1st went to the dealer and drove a = new 99EMS. I've even talked a friend into buying one (he loved it!).Now = I'm finally ready, I hope. =20 I'm looking at an 88 900 3 door on Sunday. It has one drawback for me = and that's the automatic trans. Is this a problem area on these cars? = What should I look for in terms of the condition of the trans. Also any = other things to look for on the car. I assume this is an 8 valve, = right?=20 I'm a little concerned because it sounds like the owner and the one = previous to him are both non-enthusiasts. This probably means poor = maintenance. =20 Any advice fairly soon would be appreciated. Thanks, Vince
