Dick, I have seen your postings before and never said anything, but I feel I have to this time. First, it is obvious you sell Amsoil, so you are anything but objective. Secondly, not everyone drives the same or under the same conditions. Your generalizatons about what you have found with your vehicle does not mean others will have the same results. Being retired military and having lived and driven overseas for about 11 of 20 years, I have seen no difference in additive packages for Castrol here or in Europe. I have no doubt Amsoil is an excellent product, in fact I met a distributor in Springfield, VA a few years ago, but it is not for everybody. I prefer to use Castrol GTX and Militec-1. As for the additive packages, I think Pat Goss and John Davis of Motorweek might take exception with your characterization of European standards being tougher. They get a shorter warranty in Europe.
