Subject: Think Gas station reamed me

I have a '90 900S 3-door with about 80K on it. The car has never broken down in the eight years I have had it. A few weeks ago, I got into the car and it wouldn't start. I end up having to push the car up to a texaco station cause the guy didn't have a tow truck. He tells me my fuel pump is dead, but he could replace it by the end of the day. Two days later, the car is finally ready, but he mentions my brakes are a little rough. I start the car and the booster is completely dead. The Anti-Lock and Brake Fluid lights go on and it's like driving with the car off and trying to brake. I pay the bastard his $400 and have it towed to the dealership. They look at it and said the fuse was shorted. They replace the fuse and some wires and sure enough, they die again. It turns out that the booster switch died and it cost me $700 dollars. Plus rental, it totalled $1500. I asked the dealer if the gas station guy could have done it, but they said that there wasn't any proof. Is there any connection between the fuel pump electrical system and the booster system, or was it just coincidence? or just plain sabotage? -Ilia
