The best advise I can give you. Check with manufacture for the service schedule for the state you live in. each zone is different. Synthetic oil is designed to give the consumer better protection by enhancing the molecular structure of the motor oil. Synthetic oil has many benefits such as: better cold start protection, lower running temp, reduced engine wear. Keep in mind that Synthetic motor oil is made from the same oil as you regular motor oils, the difference is the structure and additives that it is blended with. So to sum it up, you still should change your oil every 3,000 miles or 3 months in a severe state, which is just about the whole country. Synthetic oils do not give you longer oil change intervals, just peace of mind if you go over a little bit. For more information on motor oil check out our web page, www.hinesauto.com and click on the Quaker State logo.
