If your 9000 is an 89 model or earlier, your tank holds 68 litres or 15
gallons. From 1990 and 92 models have 66 litre tanks, 14.5 gallons and
the 1991 year fuel tank held 62 litre or 13.6 gallons. These are figures
from the Haynes manual. Your 790km per tank is about 495 miles per tank
or around 31 mpg. My 87 9000S gets the same or better on the highway. I
have seen a high of 34 mph.
