I'm driving a '85 900S, which used to be my dad's. It's a great car, and still drives really smooth, especailly right after an oil change ;) it does have a few little problems (to be expected for a 12 year old car) 1) the nylon triangles in the sunroof area are loose, so the roof doesn't open properly. (The WD40 made the triangles pop off easier. hrmpf!) 2) the temperature control on the dash does not work -- the valve it connects to is corroded, so the linkages just pop off. this was apparently fixed in later models. (I use pliers through the speaker hole to adjust the heat (twice per year). 3) heated seats don't work -- haven't had a chance to pull out the seats and fix the wiring 4) the back seat (center) gets quite warm, making it hell to sit there on a summer road trip. 5) only the center vents produce AC air. the side vents always spew out heat. 6) the driver's side power window used to get stuck going up. -- the up/down switch got stuck in the "up" position for an hour or so, and the motor got worn out. A lot of WD-40 on the linkages and gears in the door fixed it. (the results of that didn't show up for a day or so.) it's not really that much. just a bunch of little things. I wouldn't trade the car for any other. I love it. ...Well, i'd trade it for a newer '900. Not a 9000 -- they look like hondas. I've been tainted. If i ever need to buy another car, it'll probably be another Saab -- which sucks, cause i can't afford a new saab... although if i bought a car, it'd probably be a Sonnet! ;) did i already post to this thread? -j
