I lived with a roommate who was a jeweler, and who had a nice, small welding torch. From time to time I would ask him to burn the gunk out of the key hole, as it accumulates quickly. Oddly enough, that seemed to work. My '77 99EMS had a similar problem once, caused by someone forcing the key out of the ignition without the shifter in reverse - that mistake cost me an entire new ignition switch. I think your problem may be more like the one described above. You've got a damaged switch. But I'd try the brief hit with a torch, to burn all the gunk out so your key can sink all the way in, which should then allow it to turn. good luck!! > -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Now offering spam-free web-based newsreading
