Subject: Turbo $ Rebuild

I am going to be replacing my exhaust manifold on my 83 Turbo 900 soon. It developed a crack which is widening now. I thought that it would be a good time to change the turbo as well. Mine has about 95,000 miles on it. It works ok by I am seeing more oil in the intake system than I would like. I have a spare that I was going to send out for rebuild I was qouted about 400$ for this. That includes a new waste gate. What do you think? On a related subject I get pretty good detonation under boost with high test. Is there a way to check if the system is richening up when the boost come up? I am not sure if the knock sensor is working either. I have a fancy automotive meter that i used to set the mixture with if that helps and a bently manual also. The car uses less than a quart of oil per 4000 miles. Thanx in advance Greg Seferian CMfgE Flagpoles Inc. PO Box 833 "It Aint Just Flagpoles" E. Setauket NY 11733
