Subject: Re: '92 900s window switch mayhem

We had a 92 900s and in the middle of winter dropped the drivers window to pay the parking garage attendant and the window just stayed there. It was during the middle of winter and it was freezing, and the window said nope, it wasn't coming up. No warning, just died. The other three windows were fine. The switch assembly box was bad, the dealer popped it out and put in a new one and all works fine now. It cost us $202 for the job, parts, labor, tax, etc. I'm sure we could have located a used one for less (the switch assembly cost $170) but it was cold out and we didn't want to mess around.
