Through creative use of four zip ties, I was able to fix mine :) I had a luggage strap get caught in the latch, breaking some of the plastic off of the piece that holds that threaded rod in place. Among other things, I tightened a zip tie on the rod just above that nylon nut, which looks like it is holding it in place nicely. -Mike (Whoever first said that a dog is man's best friend never had zip ties.)
