I am a small engine mechanic and do about 50% of the work on my own saab, I have the factory manuals ETC. Mechanics is mostly applied common sense and deductive reasoning coupled with some skill at turning the 'ol wrenches. But don't tell me changing a bloody thermostat is worth $100.00 in labor, and that we should all be happy to pay it...you'll never get my car in your shop.
