It won't start then. I used to bypass the switch by jumping the starter direct from the battery with a small wire from the positive terminal to the contact under the rubber cover that is used for diagnostics. But that was happening every time so my mechanic put in a relay to give the starter a jolt directly from the battery. Haven't a problem since. Murray
